Essex School of Diving in Colchester in Essex offer the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program as a way of letting you experience the thrill of being a diver while under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in a swimming pool (confined water) environment. During this experience, you'll master some basic concepts and underwater skills through practical lessons in Colchester. Why should I choose this course? Will it suit me considering I am new to Diving?

As soon as you take your first breath underwater, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. The DSD Course combines your first tentative steps with practical underwater skills that help you interact with this fascinating environment. You may well learn skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, the tuition may be credited to the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water certifications. Your instructor can guide you if you are unsure.

What do I need to start?

You must be at a minimum age of 10 years old - there is no upper age limit, providing you are in reasonable health.
A completed and signed Discover Scuba Diving statement which we will supply

What will I do?

When you participate in a DSD education program, you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling and so will you soon! Sounds seem strange and moving through the water is a unique experience

How long will the course take?

Get ready to dive today! Whether you are learning by watching the short PADI DSD DVD, or are briefed with a Presentation by one of our qualified Instructors, you'll enter the water quickly and be ready for your scuba adventure.

What will I need for the course?
