Join us as a PADI Assistant Instructor we will guide you, develop your diving skills and give you an insight of what a full PADI Open Water Instructor tasks and duties are. Of course, your aim may only to be an Assistant Instructor. Either choice is good as you will develop your practical diving skills and assume an amount of responsibility, all the time gaining more confidence in your own abilities.

Which ever you decide, as an Assistant Instructor you gain an insight to teaching and guiding students under the direction and supervision of our Instructors and Staff Instructors. Become part of our friendly team of professionals and make good use of your PADI certification.

As an Assistant Instructor you will be able to put your skills to good use and teach students in the pool, whilst under supervision of an Instructor. This allows you time honing your skills and learning to spot and correct potential problems, which is fantastic experience if you decide to become an Instructor.

You will help your Instructor perform tasks in our modern classrooms. Be able to perform surface skills in Open Water qualifying. Lead dives, help with dive site briefings.

You will be able to give presentations and gain more knowledge of PADI Standards. You will develop your understanding of teaching the PADI way.

All of this, and more, awaits you as an Assistant Instructor with Essex School of Diving.

The path of an Assistant Instructor can be an extremely satisfying one. Working as an Assistant Instructor is excellent preparation for becoming an Instructor and it allows you to time to develop your knowledge and skills before progressing to the next stage in your diving career if you so desire.

Our scuba courses are conducted at Leisure World in Colchester, Essex on a Saturday evening from 1745 hrs to 2030 hrs.
