Why the PADI Open Water Course?

Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open Water Diver Course. The course is broken into two parts:

The Confined Water part (Referral Course)

The Open Water Qualifying part (Certification Course)

What do I need to start my diving experience?

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. We can supply all the dive equipment and gear you need to get you your PADI Qualification. The picture to the right is a group of our students taken at an Open Water Qualifying session.

What will I do during my SCUBA Diving lessons?

Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including setting up your own diving equipment, basic diving skills and theory of scuba diving. You earn your Open Water rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives. PADI diving programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. The course in general lasts around 5 weeks, 1 evening a week with a 2 day Open Water qualifier. This can be shorter with intensive training.The PADI learning materials for the Open Water Course are supplied to you as part of your Course apart from the OW Video or DVD, which we can supply if requested.
