Underwater Photography (Digital) Speciality with Essex School of Diving in Colchester, Essex.
The Basic PADI Course consists of 2 dives
Minimum student age: 10 years
Minimum qualification: Open Water or Junior OW Diver.
Learning to take photographs underwater is a skill in itself. We will teach you the procedures and techniques, including setting your camera up for underwater use. We do not proclaim to be 'experts' in underwater photography, but have learned by experience and can pass some of this knowledge on to you during the course.
The PADI Digital Photography course gives you the basics, but we like to go that bit extra with our course to improve your shots.
Underwater photography is a fantastic way of 'logging' events and retaining memories of your dive but you do have to have good buoyancy skills and be confident in your diving to achieve good results. The Peak Performance Buoyancy speciality course can help in this respect.
Once you have taken your photographs, you can learn how to enhance the quality of your pictures with our additional workshop class.
It is always best if you already own your own underwater camera, however, we can give you some advice or point you in the right direction when choosing your equipment. It comes down to personal choice and budgets. We do hire out camera's for this course but an added charge will be made.
We do run this course for training purposes in the UK but visibility tends to be restrictive. For better results we recommend this course be completed while away on one of our diving holidays.
Learn to take fantastic photos, underwater just like the ones you can see on our website and in our Photo Gallery.
