Scuba Diving is Fun but like other physical sports, is not without it's dangers. We try to follow the correct procedures and take proper measures as your well-being is an important value to us. Please read our Philosophy page for further details.
At Essex School of Diving Ltd, we comply with PADI Standards and recommendations and follow the 'Safe Diving Practices' code wherever possible. We abide by HSE rules and regulations pertaining to scuba diving.
We maintain student diving records, risk evaluations of diving sites and training places.
We maintain and carry a full oxygen and First aid kit wherever and whenever we teach scuba diving either at our training sessions, Diving Trips or qualifying sessions.
We are fully insured to teach scuba diving by two separate companies, Diver Alert Network (DAN) and Divemaster Insurance Company with indemnities of £5,000,000. This is in full compliance with PADI Standards and generally required by any council in the Uk.
Our Professional staff are CRB checked, hold HSE Diving Medicals and have their own DAN insurances which meet PADI requirements.
Our Scuba Diving equipment is of good quality and well maintained.
Where appropriate our Instructors use both visual and audio safety devices to maintain diver safety. Buoys are used for specific skills. All dives are instructor led, briefed and debriefed with concentration and emphasis on skill requirements, signals and safety.
Our Safety record is second to none with no logged incidents since we formed in 2005.
