PADI Drift Diver Speciality

PADI Drift Diver Speciality with Essex School of Diving, Colchester, Essex. Course consists of 2 dives Minimum student age: 12 years. Minimum qualification: Open Water or Junior OW Diver. Course subject to availability and is normally run as a 'holiday' course.

The Drift Diving Course consist of: Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving. You may be required to complete an Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) specialitiy prior to this course. The proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and communication with your group or buddy. Site selection and overview of currents, the causes and effects. Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group. This course is ideal for anyone going on holiday, and would like to drift along reefs watching the "underwater world go by" without using too much effort.
